Lehigh partnered with PrometSource to modernize its digital presence and create a more engaging experience for prospective and current students. The ask was to re-imagine high-visibility pages—including the homepage, About, and Academics (undergraduate + graduate)—and ensure the updates aligned with Lehigh’s brand heritage while evolving their design system for the future.

This project was particularly meaningful for me because I am a proud Lehigh alum. Having the opportunity to re-imagine the digital face of my alma mater made the work both exciting and personal.

Approach

With a lean design team of just two, our focus was on delivering maximum impact through strategic use of visual storytelling, dynamic layouts, and scalable design system components.

Key pillars of the redesign:

Brand-Driven Aesthetic: Leveraged Lehigh’s secondary color palette and editorial photography to reflect both tradition and innovation.
Dynamic Components: Introduced interactive modules and subtle motion/animations to highlight content and bring hierarchy to information-dense pages.
Design System Foundation: Documented new components and variations to establish consistency, scalability, and smoother developer handoff.

Contributions

Layout & Structure: Designed responsive layouts balancing storytelling with clear pathways for exploration.
Animations & Micro-Interactions: Built motion concepts to add energy to static content and guide users’ attention.
Design System Documentation: Authored and delivered component documentation, ensuring the new system could be extended across future pages.

Outcome

The redesigned key pages introduced a modern, student-focused digital presence for Lehigh that better communicates the school’s academic depth and campus culture. The work laid the foundation for a scalable design system, enabling future site expansion without sacrificing consistency.
